Let’s Party: Ice Cream Party Shoot

Ash and I have been having fun lately staging a few “fake” parties.  She’s happy to be my model when she knows that she gets to wear a bit of mascara and eat a treat at the end. No, I am not above bribery.:)  This party collection is available in the shop right now, and there will be more pictures and tutorials up on the Pink Peppermint Prints site next week.:)Enjoy!:)

NEW WEBSITE: COME AND JOIN ME AT PINK PEPPERMINT PRINTS AND PARTIES TOO!

If you’ve been wondering where I’ve been for the last month, I’ve been hanging out over at my new site!  I am super excited that it is finally up and running and ready to share with all of you!:)  I decided that it might be a little easier to put my party and printable ideas over on a site of their own, so wa-la!  Pink Peppermint Prints was born!:)  I’ve teamed up with some super talented party planners and others who are anxious to share their talents, and we are just getting started.  Check out the first party in our new “GET THE LOOK” series which shows you how to create beautifully styled parties that are very budget friendly with minimal work.  I have TONS of free printables over there too….everything you will find here as well as new, fun free printables starting with  several Teacher Appreciation Week ideas that are NEW for 2013.  I hope you will find it to be a fun and entertaining site!  I will continue to post here as well, but this will be more design and photography oriented and that will be more party and printables oriented.  I hope that helps keep everything organized!:)  I’d love it if you come visit me over on Facebook too!

Everyday Life: Don’t Mess with Texas!

Have you ever been to Texas?  Something about that state just makes me smile. :)  The people that live there truly LOVE where they live.  There is so much state pride it’s infectious!  Everywhere you go there is Texas themed merchandise…there re even CHIPS in the shape of the state at the grocery store!!  I LOVE it!!  John had a conference there last week in Austin, and since my brother lives in San Antonio, we decided to take the fam and make a trip out of it.  It was so fun to visit and get a chance to see my darling niece.  I only wish I could bring her home with me for a few days!:)

The photo ops were everywhere…I had to take a few minutes and capture the kids in the beautiful fields…

Have a great day!

Everyday Life: A day in LA with my Girl- My Little Pony Princess Coronation Event HUB TV

One of my favorite things about living in the greater LA area is the opportunity I have to attend unique things that you don’t find everywhere else.  A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to attend an invitation only event put on by HUB TV to premiere their latest pony “twilight sparkle” getting her wings and being crowned a princess.  It was a benefit for the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and a special media event for bloggers and media in the area.  Thanks to my friend Jaime, we spent the afternoon driving to the Brentwood Theater, walking the fuschia carpet, meeting Miss America and the voice of Twilight sparkle, and mingling with celebrities like Halle Berry. ;)  When we arrived they whisked Ash up to the front for a VIP seat and left her old mom behind.  Little did I know until the day after that she had been sitting by Halle Berry!  The swag bag and some ice cream at Sprinkles capped off a totally fun day for us. ;)  And since she won’t remember going in another year or two, I had to take a bunch of pictures.;)  Thanks HUB!
